Kamwo Practitioners Online (KPO) is a secure, web-based program that allows practitioners to order herbal formulas and manage patient information online. Practitioners can order custom-made and traditional formulas in a variety of different preparations including: vacuum packed herbal teas, raw herbs, and granules (available as a powder or in capsules). KPO’s many powerful features will help you organize and manage your herbal practice from any online computer. To view a brief demo of KPO, click here or sign up here.

KPO securely stores patient information, including multiple addresses, phone numbers, and progress notes. Practitioners can access their accounts (including contact information, progress notes and formula histories) from any web-enabled computer. This feature can be very useful if you are not able to access hard copies of your patient records at a particular time. All information is kept strictly confidential and the program uses a color coding system to indicate which pieces of information are shared between specific parties—practitioner, pharmacy and patient.
Our server automatically encrypts confidential information in transit from your computer to our data processing server using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 256-bit (the highest level commercially available).
KPO users have the added benefit of full access to the online herb and formula reference guide. This section provides detailed information for hundreds of singe herbs and traditional formulas. The guide also provides users with dosage suggestions, actions, and contraindications for both herbs and traditional formulas.
In promoting safe dosing practices, KPO employs Dosage Check Technology. This feature notifies the practitioner when they have selected an extremely toxic herb or a potentially unsafe dosage of a mildly toxic herb. The program then requires the practitioner to confirm the herb choice in order to proceed. In the case of extremely toxic herbs (e.g. Zhu Sha) the program will not allow the order to be processed.
