Kamwo’s Commitment to Quality
As one of the oldest herbal pharmacies on the East Coast, Kamwo Herbal Pharmacy has been serving the Chinese medical community since 1973. Owned and operated by a fourth-generation Chinese herbalist, Kamwo has always been in the forefront in addressing concerns of quality and safety. We make every effort possible to ensure that our customers and their patients are using safe and effective herbal products.
Bulk (Raw) Herbs
Kamwo employs Eurofins Central Analytical Laboratories, an independent US testing facility in New Orleans, to test our herbs for heavy metals such as Arsenic, Lead, Mercury, and Cadmium, as well as for over 60 pesticide residues including DDT and BHC. We source sulfur-free herbs whenever possible. Through voluntary testing, we are helping to raise the industry standard in ensuring that patients receive only the finest quality herbs.
Vacuum Packs
In keeping with our commitment to safety and quality, we have confirmed through third-party independent US laboratory testing that our vacuum packs pouches have always been and continue to be completely Bisphenol A (BPA)-free, a chemical found in polycarbonate plastics. Granules
Our granules are manufactured in an internationally certified GMP granular manufacturing facility. All raw materials are carefully selected and laboratory tested employing the latest version of HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) to verify herb species. They are then manufacturer-tested for microbes, heavy metals (such as Lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Arsenic) and organochlorine pesticide residues. All testing standards exceed the required standards of China, Taiwan, and the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for heavy metals.
Since 2007, Kamwo has been filling granule formulas using our innovative Granule Accuracy Check (GAC) system. This system, including computer software, barcode technology and integrated electronic scale, was specifically designed to address the potential for human error.
