Indication

1. Includes spasms, loss of consciousness, quivering fingers, feverish palms and soles, ('heat in the five centers'), a deep-red, dry tongue, and a thin, rapid, and forceless pulse.
2. Includes dizziness and vertigo, tinnitus, dry throat, palpitations, bleeding symptoms, a dry, glossy, peeled tongue, and a thin, wiry pulse.

Contraindication

1. This formula should not be used during pregnancy unless Gui Ban and Bie Jia are omitted, as these substances are contraindicated during pregnancy.
2. It should also not be used for diarrhea due to Spleen Yang deficiency or Stomach Qi deficiency.
